PEERS® for Adolescents

Explore PEERS® programs for Middle and High School Students as well as for Young Adults in college and beyond!
 
Introducing a supplemental program for unique learners to help achieve success in school, work, and life through world-renowned, evidence-based social skills treatment to adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional problems.
 
In PEERS® for Adolescents, Tweens, and Teens will learn skills to:
  • Develop and maintain friendships
  • Start and continue conversations
  • Communicate electronically 
  • Use humor appropriately
  • Organize get-togethers
  • Be a good sport
  • Handle disagreements
  • Change a bad reputation
  • Handle teasing and bullying
 
PEERS® for Adolescents is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated teens in middle and high school who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or handling conflict and rejection. 
 
How it works:
  • 16-weekly group sessions - 90-minutes per week
  • Social skills are taught through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations. 
  • Hands-on practice is facilitated during group socialization activities.
  • Parent/Guardian participation is required with specially-designed sessions that occur concurrently and include techniques to manage behaviors at home.
