Michelle minicozzi I'm the director of advancement at Hilltop prep and I am here today with Tammy Clark executive director of the central Pennsylvania scholarships lines to talk about Pennsylvania's Eid Casey scholarship program and how it benefits schools like Hilltop and underserved students who benefit from donations from people like you who takes their Pennsylvania tax dollars and turn them into scholarships at Tammy will talk a little bit about Pennsylvania's program and about the central Pennsylvania scholarship fund and if you are interested in participating please take a look at the fire text and use the contact information to get in touch with me or get in touch with Tammy to make your donation to Hilltop Tammy Michelle if you owe $3,500 or more Pennsylvania state tax then you are eligible for this program we have a special purpose entities that we were in central Pennsylvania scholarships on all of those entities have the exact same tax which are is a 90% tax credit on your state taxes and then a 10% Turtle donation deduction on your federal taxes and asked me for a joinder agreement I will either email fax it to you or mail it to you and then I want you to take that joinder agreement to your tax professional and I want them to sit down with you and see what your liability would be for the tax year 2020 which is the tax year were in right now did you determine that you are not only eligible for the program you have the liability of the $3,500 or more and you have the cash on hand to meet the contribution for the tax year 2020 I want you to send me your joint or back reminder no check your received an a letter for me once I qualified you and I have credits for you from me asking for your contribution check so once that contribution check is comes to me you will send it to email receipt for me stating that I have received your check with any here you will receive your 90% credit for that from their contribution so if you donate $3,500 you will receive a tax credit of 3150 the school is all $3,500 of your donation 100% of your donation goes to the school through our organization so you'll receive 3150 back on your state taxes as a credit but Hilltop prep receives the entire $3,500 sew in second-year participation you will hear from me a couple different times in the year of 2021 the first time you'll hear from me is in February when procedure to place on your tax return you may either get back to you on your tax preparer or if you happen to prepare your taxes yourself we have a blog post that helps walk you through exactly what you need to do on TurboTax to put your K-1 in and receive and then in June or July I will be contacting you again via letter in the mail almost always I know I asked you if you were planning on participating again in the tax year of 2021 you confirm your participation the next time you will hear from me will be in the fall once we receive our award letters from the state will ask you again for your contribution so this would be your second year so your first year of 2020 being a texture of 20/20 you are absolutely welcome to I have a saying that I'll contact you to participate every year until you asked me to not contact you anymore but for Hilltop and Freddy of the other schools that are benefiting from your support we couldn't we are in constant contact with you as a donor if you have any questions detail questions which I'm sure there are some out there please contact Michelle or myself there's a fly or attached that will give you our contact information my cell phone or my phone number my email email and phone number please contact me with any questions thank you very much Michelle thank you
