good morning Hilltop mr. Van Dyke here with your community meeting announcements for Wednesday May 6th we're on campus for this week community meeting just a few steps away from the start and finish line for the thrill on the hill this weekend was of course the throw off the hill 5K Challenge and we were blown away by the number of students families faculty and friends who accepted the challenge we might not have been able to share in the throw together on campus this time around it was amazing to see how I got their thrill on from home take a look a big thank you to everyone who is able to participate in this year's unique throw off the hill you certainly made it one to remember now moving from one celebration to some others we have some birthdays this week today May 6th is Killian's birthday mrs. Mathis and Carly both celebrate their birthdays on Saturday May 9th and heroes birthday is on Sunday May 10th happy birthday to you all this announcement is for Middle School parents just a reminder that we are holding our second of three parent meetings this one is entitled managing stress how to support your middle school student during a pandemic and it is to be held this Thursday at noon the link to the Google Hangout was sent home in an email please attend if you can and contact mrs. Mathis if you have any questions what are the toughest Parts about not being on campus right now is that we don't get to tell them are students the way we'd like to this is most evident when we think about our seniors who are missing out on the countdown to graduation the way they deserve all of the teachers staff and administration wanted to send a message to our seniors that we are with them we are missing them we are so proud of their Journeys their accomplishments and their contributions to Hilltop throughout their time here so we got them a little something to serve as a reminder of how much we miss them this week each year is set aside to celebrate teachers and staff everywhere this year teachers have been challenged like never before and not surprisingly meta Challenge and then some almost instantly they adapted to the circumstances of distance teaching and over the last eight weeks have worked tirelessly to make this distance learning for our students not only possible but meaningful so this year I hope we can all find a way to express our appreciation for the teachers and staff who have continued to do so much for us even a quick email telling them thanks for all you do would brighten their day so thank you teachers and Staff Roll you do but especially For What doing right now here's a reminder for all of our students this Sunday is Mother's Day and well every day should be Mother's Day we hope that each of us will find a way to thank all of the mothers and motherly figures in our lives we might not be able to run out to the mall to get them a gift this year but it's always nice to let them know how much they are appreciated happy Mother's Day all right folks that about is it for this week so until next time be well take care of yourselves and take care of each other
