good morning Hilltop mr. Van Dyke here with your community meeting announcement for Wednesday April 15th I hope everyone had a wonderful break and a happy holiday hard to believe that we've been out of school now for 4 and 1/2 weeks and if you're anything like me you going a little stir-crazy doesn't help that the governor just announced this week that we would not be able to return to school before the but we understand why this has to be the case we need to keep ourselves safe as well as as those around us one thing that's really important to remember as we continue our relative isolation is it's super easy for little problems or concerns to become much bigger in our minds that's why it's important that if you are feeling upset angry sad depressed whatever it might be overwhelmed it's important that you have people around you parents teachers trusted friends your counselors to let them know how you're feeling likewise it's good to be able to give others perspective remind me that who might be struggling with their own stuff and remind them that we're all in this together and we're all going to get through this together you know one thing I've been doing a lot of during this time away is getting outside and doing some walking and running mostly walking but getting outside in preparation for the thrill off the hill on the weekend of May 2nd a lot of students and faculty of sin pictures of them outside training for the thrill off the hill so I want to make it a little more interesting I've gone out and picked up a few gift cards and each Wednesday during community meeting I will draw the name of someone who has sent me a picture I'm outside walking or running in preparation for the thrill up the hill so to get things started today I have a number of names in here and I want you to remember that each day get out there and run you can send me a picture and keep say you do that your name will be added to this basket so you will have a greater chance to win so the first week's winner is mr.bob tottori congratulation Stop The Story You're the winner of a gift card I will shoot you an email and ask you what kind of gift card you would like I have a few here but let it be your choice all right for the rest of you don't forget the weekend of May 2nd is the thrill off the hill we want everybody to get out there and walk or run a 5k 3.1 miles or about that and you can with your family and you by yourself you can go with your dog it doesn't matter we just want to know that we are all out there doing this on the same weekend so we're participating together even though we can't be together a bit of news from the Middle School mr. Cowan wanted me to share that to students successfully finished the Middle School A through Z scavenger hunt over spring break they found 26 items in their household starting with each letter of the alphabet and both Luke Erwin and Damian Southbend are now the proud owners of Amazon gift cards congratulations guys we got a few birthdays since our last community meeting so today we want to celebrate the birthdays of Jonah Fox whose birthday was April 1st on April 2nd both David redpath and mrs. Butler celebrated their birthdays on April 6th it was we'll meet Halls turn to celebrate mr. Collins birthday was on April 10th and coming up next Sunday I think April 19th it's Jackson house birthday so happy birthday everybody we celebrate you you know another way I've been keeping busy is to look for ways to help others or to improve myself so please don't forget about the spirit of the hawk challenge I've received at this point dozens of pictures and stories from students and faculty about how they are showing courage perseverance leadership and service to please keep them Steve already sent me one send me another one if you haven't sent me one yet please send one at the end of the year on May 27th I'm going to put them all together and share them with the community so that we can all see how we've the spirit of the hawk over this tough time this just in for Miss minicozzi in the development office while we are so sad that the Legacy tea honoring grandparents and special friends for exhibiting the spirit of the hawk had to canceled we will still be sharing some of the award via Facebook later this week and throughout the weekend if you want to follow that just follow hashtag HTP Legacy project or hashtag Spirit of the hawk on Facebook Betteridge wanted to pass along some good news from the Esports team we had some victories over the week both Zach jacobini and Ben Beretta were Victor's two new cells a cuantos of his matches and then one again over all the team is now 7 and 5 go Hawks are at Hilltop that about does it for this week so until next week remember the well take care of yourself take care of each other and remember We're All in This Together hey good morning Hilltop friends I'm out for a run just trying to enjoy some sunshine and trying to stay fit I'm on this nature trail you can see behind me but I was thinking about you guys and hoping to get this but we're all in this together so Hilltop strong see you later she's trying to keep myself in shape since I can't leave the house at all we're all in this together I see you soon just wanted to say I miss everyone remember to stay positive We're All in This Together how to say that you are doing a super job this online learning we are all learning so much and even snow always learning have to be in front of the camera and scratched his acting skill well remember we're all in this together what did you think I don't wear this at home to I miss you guys I miss you.
