Sissy Wickes P ’12, Board President

President, Springtown Show Stables, LLC

 

Sissy is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall and Princeton University. A lifelong horse rider and trainer, she is the former Editor-in-Chief of The Plaid Horse Magazine, a freelance journalist, and an Autism advocate. In 2017 Sissy spoke at the

UN on World Autism Awareness Day. Her youngest son,

Sam, graduated from Hill Top Prep in 2012.

Mark Harbison P ’16, Board Treasurer

Mark is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has nearly three decades of experience representing professionals and businesses in litigation. He also consults on employment law. Mark lives in Bryn Mawr with his wife Michelle and three daughters. Their daughter, Anne, graduated from Hill Top Prep in 2016.

Robert Bendl, Board Secretary

Robert Bendl is an information technology executive with over 25 years experience across the aerospace, tech, and defense industries. He was most recently the Vice President of Informational Technology at AMETEK before joining Kyndryl in early 2024. A three-year letterman at North Carolina State University in swimming, Robert graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Mike Fogel, MA, ATR-BC, LPC is a board-certified art therapist, licensed professional counselor, entrepreneur, and author with over two decades of clinical experience. Mike is an expert in treatment and advocacy for neurodiverse children with autism, ADHD and learning differences and also treats a wide range of childhood emotional-behavioral challenges at his private group therapy practice in Philadelphia, the Child and Family Art Therapy Center. Mike’s work is supercharged by heartfelt faith that every person has the innate capacity to heal, grow, and progress towards their vast personal potential. Camp is instrumental in that growth! Mike’s love for neurodiverse children propelled him to develop the comprehensive Art of Friendship Social-Coping Program® and curriculum, found Camp Pegasus, a therapeutic social skills day camp, and publish “The Social-Emotional Guidebook: Motivate Children with Social Challenges to Master Social & Emotional Coping Skills”. Mike passionately preaches that social skills are for everyone!

Joshua is a strategic planning and business development executive, with over 20 years experience in the media and technology industries. He is a graduate of Duke University and obtained his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Andrea, and their three sons, one of whom is a current Hill Top Prep student.

CEO, Vision Holder, and Lead Writer, Dusk Wave Arts

Paul is the Owner of Dusk Wave Arts, an immersive multimedia art company. Diagnosed as neurodiverse at an early age, Paul’s lived experience ultimately served as inspiration for the creation of his webcomic “The Glove," which brings attention to Autism Spectrum Disorders and their varying nuances. Paul is a graduate of Mitchell College.

Gerry’s career has been rooted in the finance industry, where he has spent many years developing and coaching financial advisors as they expand their respective practices. Gerry holds a Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College, a Doctorate of Business Administration from Wilmington University, and served as an adjunct professor at The American College of Financial Services. He and his wife live in Norristown. Their son, Killian, graduated from Hill Top in 2019 and is a founding resident of Hill Top’s boarding program.

Dr. Henry J. Humphreys 

Dean of Students, Thomas Jefferson University

 

Henry has over 35 years of experience in higher education. Prior to becoming Dean of Students at Jefferson’s East Falls campus, Henry held senior leadership positions at MIT, Boston College, and St. John’s University in New York City, where he notably led significant changes in Student Affairs programming. He holds a Ph.D. from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and has a strong background in strategic planning and campus development. Henry lives in West Chester with his wife, three daughters, and their dogs, Quincy and Gracie.

Fran spent over a decade in broadcast journalism as an associate producer and reporter. After obtaining her Juris Doctorate from the Delaware Law School at Widener University, Fran went on to teach at the Klein College of Communications and Media at Temple University for 15 years. She lives with her husband, Conrad, in

Ft. Washington.

Chris is a proud member of the Hill Top Prep graduating class of 2013. After leaving The Hill, he attended Stevenson University in Maryland where he graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems, focusing on network designs. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with family, learning new technology, and volunteering throughout the community.

Jamell Mitchell 

National ASA Tax and Assurance Practice Leader, Ernst and Young

 

Jamell challenges organizations to consider cognitive differences as an advantage, and is responsible for securing talent, driving awareness, identifying learning opportunities, aligning Ernst and Young’s Neurodiversity Centers of Excellence with its overall service line, and managing teams across the US. He holds an MBA with a specific focus on Leadership and Finance from Walden University, Minneapolis, and a BS in Criminal Justice Administration and Planning from John Jay College in New York.

Kevin Mayne

Kevin has served as Head of School and Trustee since Summer 2022. Before arriving on The Hill, he served as the Vice President for Enrollment Management at Landmark College, the frontrunner in the field of post-secondary learning disabilities. In addition to his wealth of experience in advancement, marketing, and special events, Kevin is a life-long advocate for neurodiverse individuals. He leads with a strong commitment to providing students with learning differences the resources and environment to reach their full potential.

Ruth Ortlinghaus-Straff P ’04

 

Ruth has been associated with Hill Top Prep since her son, Harry, arrived as an upper school student. She joined the Board of Trustees upon Harry’s graduation. She holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Drexel University, and recently retired from owning her own company. Ruth lives in Lafayette Hill with her husband, Seth, and two of their four children.

Robert Pietrusko, Pharm.D. G ’18

Chief Regulatory and Quality Officer, Vor Biopharma

 

Bob’s experience in the pharmaceutical industry spans 40 years. He has directed the worldwide approval of more than 30 new drug applications, biological license applications, and marketing authorization applications in multiple therapeutic areas. Bob splits his time between Boston and the Philadelphia suburbs each week and enjoys spending free time with his wife, Susan, and their family. One of their grandchildren is a Hill Top Prep graduate.

Joseph Riddle

Director, Neurodiversity in the Workplace

 

Joe works to create partnerships across the globe, providing consulting services to assist companies in enhancing their workforces through the inclusion of neurodiverse individuals. Thanks to his efforts, Neurodiversity in the Workplace has created a robust network of open-minded employers and talented individuals with Autism. Joe has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Masters of Public Health from George Washington University.

Bob’s career in education has spanned over 30 years, having served as a K-12 teacher, graduate school professor, professional consultant, and business owner. He has also presented hundreds of professional development programs and conference lectures around the world encompassing a wide range of academic program areas. Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from Ohio State University, and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology Integration from

Arcadia University.

Seth Straff P ’04

Principal and Corporate Secretary, Insurance Adjustment Bureau, Inc. 

 

Seth is a licensed Public Adjuster in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida. He is also a member of various organizations in the tri-state area, including the New Jersey Public Adjusters Association. Seth lives in Lafayette Hill with his wife, Ruth. Their daughter was recently married and their son, Harry, a Hill Top Prep alum, recently returned to the area after living and working in Florida. Their two youngest daughters are still living at home.

 

Kirby Wycoff, PsyD, EdM, MPH, NCSP

Associate Professor, Thomas Jefferson University

 

Kirby serves as the Director of the Community and Trauma Counseling Program at Jefferson. A Nationally Certified School Psychologist with over fifteen years of experience in the mental health field, Kirby is a leader in understanding the intersection of mental health, public health, and trauma. She is frequently consulted for community service, legislative and policy initiatives, and spent two years as a LEAH Fellow (Leadership Education in Adolescent and Young Adult Health) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Policy Lab.
