Happy Halloween from the Middle Schoolers!

Hill Top's Middle School and 9th grade academy enjoyed Halloween activities despite the gloomy weather today!
First we had a costume contest, then students split up and played Minute to Win It games, and a Halloween Themed Kahoot! (Online quiz game) for tickets. The day wrapped up with a raffle for what else? Candy bars!

Annual SPOOKTACULAR Middle School Halloween Sleepover

The Annual SPOOKTACULAR Middle School Halloween Sleepover took place on Saturday, October 26. This years event featured a campfire with hot dogs and smores, the "Ghoul Games" wacky game competition, pumpkin decorating, and a giant game of Vampire Hide and Seek in the mansion. Students kept an eye out for the ghost Eliza, but thankfully, she was not seen or heard.

Fall Open House!

Nearly 20 prospective parents participated in Hill Top’s Fall Open House this morning. An intimate information session in the Large Commons included a welcome from Headmaster Tom Needham who gave an overview of the environment students should expect when they become part of the Hill Top family from the close-knit faculty to the Alumni Anchor program that connects graduates to a Hill Top teacher who serves as a resource as they navigate college and life.

Hill Top Middle School Students visited the Media Theater to see Matilda The Musical!

Based on the 1988 children's novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, the show features, Matilda, a precocious 5-year-old girl with the gift of telekinesis, who loves reading, overcomes obstacles caused by her family and school, and helps her teacher to reclaim her life.

Hill Top incorporates performing arts into its curriculum for all students to reinforce positive communication, creativity and imagination, teach culture, empathy and morals, and to practice patience and self control. Students in all grades really enjoyed the performance.

Students volunteer for Dogtoberfest!

Every year, SEI hosts animal-based organizations at charity event.  The organizations, which range from the Elmwood Zoo to dog rescues, get to share a little bit about their organization with SEI employees, who have the opportunity to donate money to these charities.
