Show Transcript are you or a loved 1 neurodiverse and struggle with relationships and social skills we have a program for you called peers developed at UCLA by peers Clinic director Dr Elizabeth logicon here's teaches skills to decrease social anxiety and build social confidence to those who find social situations stressful peers is intended to help individuals strengthen their social skills to maintain 90 develop relationships and social interactions peers is not intended for those with articulation disorders significant behavioral challenges or those who do not succeed in group settings the predictable model presented by peers gives structure to the students during their sessions with trained instructors expect a 14-week peers program with concurrent weekly sessions for parents and students offering direct instruction and supportive feedback some lesson highlights include trading information conversational skills choosing friends hosting get-togethers navigating challenging situations like being bullied and self-empowerment Published October 4, 2024 Print
