Students attend local climate strike

Activism is exhilarating and exhausting. We attended one of the over 1,000 global climate strikes in the United States today at Haverford College. All ages were represented, from babies to the elderly. We joined a movement that is aimed at educating the world about the climate change crisis. Greta Thunburg, a 16 year old Swedish girl with autism, started striking every Friday in front of Parliament to bring awareness to the global crisis. Word quickly spread and youth everywhere began joining her. Today brought millions of people out around the world to strike! ALL of NYC public schools were excused today to participate in the strike. Hill Top students were proud and determined to be heard.studentsstudentsstudents
