Community Partnership School
The CPS tutors will be volunteering at the Community Partnership School today with Mr. Needham at 12:30 pm and will return at 3:20 pm
Skiing Snowboarding and Tubing- 2/7
The first of two Skiing & Riding Club trips is to take place on Friday. The trip may be rescheduled due to an abundance of rainy weather. Stay tuned Mr. Van Dyke will make the decision later today. Contact Mr. Van Dyke with questions at [email protected].

Visiting Family
We welcomed a family who is looking at the middle school for their son for this year.
Cradles to Crayons Trip-Tomorrow
Tomorrow, Mr. Penney and Mrs. Nelson are going to take the 5th, 6th and 7th grade students to Cradles to Crayons in Philadelphia from 12:30-3:00. Students will be sorting and boxing children's everyday items. They should wear comfortable clothing and bring close-toed shoes.
It would be great if the students could bring donations of their own gently used clothing, shoes, books or toys to their visit.
Sugar Cookie & Lemonade & Upcycle Art Sale-2/19-2/20
The 8th grade sent out an interest survey to faculty and staff on Monday in preparation for the Lemonade & Cookie sale. Cookies will sell for 2/$1 and lemonade will be $1/cup.
Before winter break, the 8th grade collected donations of aluminum cans and plastic bottles. They turned those donations into products to be sold at the Upcycle Art sale. The products sold will be no more than $3.
The profits from both sales will support the creation of a Monarch Butterfly Garden on Campus.
The sale is scheduled for February 19th and 20th at break after community meeting

Hill Top Prom
Although it seems early in the year to talk about Prom, plans are being put in place now.
Mr. Sedgwick is currently running a contest to design this year's prom ticket. The contest is open to students in the Upper School, and the prize is one free ticket to the event.
Rules for Prom Ticket Contest
• Ticket size cannot be more than ½ of a regular sheet of paper.
• Ticket must be reproducible--can be digital or scannable.
• Ticket must include the following details:

POETRY TEAM RESUMES
Student poets in grades 9-12 will meet on Thursday’s during mentor period.

Updated Hill Top Job Board
The Hill Top Job Board has been updated with part time/afterschool and weekend
positions. The board is located in the Upper Linden hallway and is divided into the 5 surrounding counties. The jobs posted are suitable positions for students. Students who are seeking a job are encouraged to take a posting as well as let Mrs. Navarra know if they have a job to post. Mrs. Navarra also offered to assist any student in seeking employment.
Box Tops for Education Campaign
We have collected $49.10 made out to Hill Top for the Box Tops for Ed that everybody put in the box on Mrs. Barnes’ desk last year. Thank you for cutting them out.

Middle School Student Council Promoting Amazon Smile
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on Amazon Smile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate half of a percent of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.
The MSSC is supporting a sign-up campaign for students, faculty, family and friends to go to Smile.Amazon.com and designate Hill Top as your non-profit charity. It is important to type Hill Top Preparatory NOT Hill Top Prep; otherwise, our school does not appear in the search.
It’s free to sign up, fun to shop and free money for Hill Top.
Post-Secondary Corner
Lebanon Valley College is hosting A Day at the Valley on March 27th. This is an opportunity for students to see the campus, sit in on two classes, talk with professors, and sample the food in the cafeteria (their sundae bar gets high marks from past students).
