FAQs

The financial aid program requires each family to submit an application to the Ravenna Financial Aid Family Portal. Families must also submit 2 years of tax returns.

If the cost of a Hill Top Preparatory School education is beyond a family’s means financially, a parent should apply for financial aid. Income may not preclude the possibility of aid since other dependents, other tuition costs, considerable debt (excluding consumer debt), unusual medical expenses, or other extraordinary financial burdens are considerations. Within the limits of available funds, Hill Top seeks to provide financial aid to all qualified families.

Based upon available funds, Hill Top attempts to meet the needs of families as reported by the Hill Top Financial Form and by the School and Student Services (SSS) by NAIS. Every family should expect to contribute to their child’s education.

Yes, a new application must be submitted each year. Any changes in your financial status may affect your financial aid.

If you have further questions about the financial aid process, please feel free to contact the Admissions Office at info@hilltopprep.org. Hill Top Preparatory School has established a financial aid program to help families with the cost of tuition. Financial aid is awarded solely on the basis of need.

"Before transferring to Hill Top Preparatory School in eighth grade, my son had attended four schools and struggled to feel safe, connected, and understood. The demands of a traditional classroom, combined with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, led him to miss more than 150 school days and fall significantly behind.

Hill Top was the first school where his differences were embraced as part of who he is, with support thoughtfully woven into each day. In just two years, he progressed from reading two grades behind to reading at grade level, achieved nearly perfect attendance, formed meaningful friendships, and began to see college as an attainable goal.

Most importantly, he now feels welcomed, understood, and loved. Hill Top gave our son the structure, support, and sense of belonging he needed to thrive."

Pursuant to Section 213 of the Internal Revenue Code (Bricklin v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue, Docket No. 11672-81, March 25, 1983), under certain circumstances, families may be able to treat some or all of Hill Top tuition as a medical expense for federal income-tax purposes. Eligibility depends on the student’s needs, the primary reason for attending the school, current tax law, and the family’s individual circumstances. Families should consult a qualified tax professional before claiming any deduction.
