A private school education for a student who learns differently is not only a major financial decision, but it is also an investment in their future. Just as we personalize the admissions process, we understand that a family’s financial circumstances are also unique. As such, we make every effort to assist families in making a Hill Top education an affordable reality. Many families receive financial assistance through their local school districts. Families may also qualify for a Medical Tax Deduction (please speak with your own financial advisor for advice and assistance on this program). Additionally, Hill Top provides limited need-based financial aid, as well as payment plan options.

Frequently Asked Questions about Financial Aid at Hill Top Prep

How is financial aid determined?

  • The financial aid program requires each family to submit a Parents Financial Statement (PFS) to the School and Student Services (SSS) by NAIS in Princeton, New Jersey. Families must also submit 2 years of tax returns through SSS.

Who should apply for financial aid?

  • If the cost of a Hill Top Preparatory School education is beyond a family’s means financially, a parent should apply for financial aid. Income may not preclude the possibility of aid since other dependents, other tuition costs, considerable debt (excluding consumer debt), unusual medical expenses, or other extraordinary financial burdens are considerations. Within the limits of available funds, Hill Top seeks to provide financial aid to all qualified families.

How much financial aid may I expect to receive?

  • Based upon available funds, Hill Top attempts to meet the needs of families as reported by the Hill Top Financial Form and by the School and Student Services (SSS) by NAIS. Every family should expect to contribute to their child’s education.

Must I apply for financial aid each year?

  • Yes, a new application must be submitted each year. Any changes in your financial status may affect your financial aid.

What if I have questions?

  • If you have further questions about the financial aid process, please feel free to contact the Admissions Office at info@hilltopprep.org. Hill Top Preparatory School has established a financial aid program to help families with the cost of tuition. Financial aid is awarded solely on the basis of need.
