at Hilltop prep we started the school year with tremendous momentum welcoming 27 new students and reaching our highest enrollment in recent years nearing 90 students we maintain this energy-boosting 85 stakeholders for strategic visioning conference to plan our schools future and make sure Hilltop continues its amazing work Hilltop admissions help 5 open house event this school year with the most recent a virtual open house in compliance with new stay-at-home rules Zoe's Partnerships are key to hilltops unique experience some examples include our work with SEI Investments and SEI cares internship and employment programs mentoring philanthropy and volunteer work Ida Mentor by the name of Mark and Mark gave me advice he really helped me before pretty different elements into the blog spice it up make it unique make it filled dip differentiate it from other sports bog. There and that that was probably my favorite Spirits at Hilltop and it and it really helps me because in the end it shows me that I love journalism and I am now majoring in journalism at TCNJ next to the uncommon individual found connected founder of barley sober Rowan brown with hilltops aspirin or program students to identify and grow their personal Brands middle school students work with the Impact Center on service-learning focusing on helping those affected poverty in our area most recently Comcast will provide opportunities for Hilltop students to Shadow Comcast employees as they begin a neurodiverse hiring in Support Program Hilltop also inducted 7 students into the National Honors do service contributions leadership potential academic achievement and personal character render than worthy of this particular honor this year nearly 30 College recruiters visited Hilltop resulting in 29 College acceptances more than half a million dollars in merit-based Aid the most important lesson that Hilltop has taught me what to take big projects and to shrink them down into smaller pieces to get done individually the best things settled take from Hilltop and use that skill from no Hilltop to college and Beyond is probably the friends that I've made the social aspects that I've been able to learn small environment at school has really been able to help me and a one-on-one attention sniper gang from my teachers for the past 5 years I learned in Hilltop that but helping in college is how to advocate for and my strengths and areas I need help in because those are all very important thing to know not and just college but in real life about in your career to the horizons transition program students work in individualized programs to build skills to move into their next phases of life Horizon 4 because it's out that academic accountability as I transition to college classes I think that the transition. Which has all of this extra sort of support and structure Hilton is going to set me up really well and has that me up really well for this fall and starting for your college on and off the hill this winter students participated in the Legacy project honoring grandparents and special friends the hawk award the brand new. Robert Porter design studio and gallery hosted its first exhibit with unique pieces created by the project Vortex class based on their studies and the environment and recycling plastic into art this Spring Hill Top students placed second in the balcony class at the Philadelphia Flower Show and on-campus launched its first competitive Esports team which already received its first win and its first competition we see the spirit of the hawk most of all in faculty staff students and parents who have shown courage perseverance leadership and service in ways they never expected when we received the covid-19 stay-at-home order what it's like learning online is three different and something good about it is you can still communicate with P your friends you can make friends then do human interaction machines IT staff work to make sure our infrastructure was ready and our teachers were trained so that the school day could continue online teachers and counselors bravely took on new Innovations and step to the front lines to make sure students can continue to learn in spite of believable challenges I am most surprised by the extent to which our community has grown and been better able to better ourselves as the result of the this experience talk to you about a yoga pose that's used for relaxation so don't forget to relax and get restored in the middle of all this so that your mental health can stay healthy Take Care by my students so I miss them dearly have taught me so much about the patient's about kindness about overcoming obstacles and certainly about coming out of your comfort zone because a lot of people are definitely out of your comfort zone right now and where is acting and that's what it's all about you with Dak to your surroundings and you grow and you learn and I am so thankful for that so thankful to be a fighter. As students we are grateful for everyone in steps of every day to make sure that we are taking care of regardless of what's happening in the world around us and that includes you our support we want you to know that we're all okay and we hope you are too and I'm going to Hopewell and they've been helping me up to like the other day my friend Lenny sent us stay home and healthy gifts to Hilltop support the annual fund scholarships and special projects and programs that support is more important now than ever before as the cost to keep our doors open have now turned into cost to keep us on so on behalf of the Tire Hilltop Community thank you for your support your participation is essential to Our Success until next time keep up the good work keep taking care of yourselves and keep taking care of one another
