Thursday - Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Today we have an admission counselor from Worcester Polytechnic Institute coming at mentor period. WPI is located in, shocking! Worcester, MA, which is about 5 hours from here. They’ve got a little under 5000 students, and their first year class is about 1300 students. So that comes to about a 14:1 student-faculty ratio.
WPI offers 37 fields of study, most of which are science, engineering, or mathematics based. However, for those of you thinking, Yes! I won’t have to take an English class, sorry, there is a humanities and arts requirement as part of the curriculum. However, one of the ways you can fulfill this requirement is through something they have called the Global Projects Program where you can receive a scholarship to travel to one of their 50 project centers around the world and do hands on work to solve real-world problems.

Fun Friday at Devon Lanes What is Fun Friday? Fun Friday is a monthly social outing for Hill Top students. These are after school, off-campus trips where students can socialize with their peers, practice some real-life skills and maybe get out of their comfort zones.
Our first FUN FRIDAY is Friday, September 30. We will be going BOWLING at Devon Lanes. Students will leave campus at 3:30 and return to Hill Top by 6:30 pm. The cost is 40. This covers 2 hours of bowling, shoes, pizza, beverages, & transportation. Look for an email that was sent home today with registration details.
