Confluence Day
Mr. Van Dyke congratulated everyone on a fantastic Confluence Day. The red team won the morning race and the blue team won the boat race. Students will have another opportunity to earn cup points for their team in a couple weeks.

Mrs. Stretch Awards Spirit of the Hawks
Confluence is the joining together of two rivers. On Friday, during Hill Top's Confluence we saw the joining together of our Hill Top Community. Max B. was captain of the Purple Cup Team's cardboard boat. Max heroically paddled the boat across the pool, showing great determination. For his dedication, Max was awarded the Spirit of the Hawk for Perseverance!

As Max raced toward the finish line, a friendly hand from the Red Cup Team, Sam B., reached out and helped Max out of the boat. Showing us that at Hill Top we are all on one team. For his support of a friend Sam was awarded a Spirit of the Hawk for Service!

What is a cardboard boat race without a lot of cardboard, some of which sunk to the bottom of the pool. Noah K. dove to the depths of the pool and retrieved the cardboard. For his help in getting the pool shipshape for afternoon swimming Noah was awarded the Spirit of the Hawk for Service!
