Thrill on the Hill- 5-21 Congratulations to all who joined us on Saturday morning to accept the Thrill on the HIll Challenge! We had a great turnout, despite the heat, the entire event had a fantastic community vibe! Special thanks to all who helped make this a huge success including our Parents Association for catering and putting on one heck of a raffle, our ET students for their help in making our campus look so beautiful, our faculty and parent volunteers who helped us set up, check folks in and marshal the course and our sponsors who made it all financially possible. Despite the heat, Ali H. set a new course record of 17:56! This morning we presented Spirit of the Hawk Awards for COURAGE to our top three student 5K finishers (3-Eddie K., 2-Noah S., 1-Max H.) all of whom finished in the top 15 overall! Congrats to these students and all who were able to join us for the 11th Annual Thrill on the HIll. We look forward to the 12th Annual Thrill on the Hill Next year!
Return Library Books It's that time of year again- time to turn in your library books! If you have books checked out that you are finished reading, please drop them off in the library before the end of the year. There is a return-book slot in the front desk in the library, so you can drop your books any time! Also, stop by the library to borrow summer reading books.
Metro eSports-5/27 We will be leaving from Hill Top after school on May 27th, in the fashion of a typical Fun Friday field trip, to be at Metro ideally around 4:00-4:15pm. We will be staying there for two hours, and then going to the pizzeria next door in order to get dinner, which we will eat before returning to Hill Top. If you/your child is interested in this, please send them with money to get food from the restaurant as well. We are usually back at Hill Top around 8:00-8:30pm, so please plan to pick your child up from the school at that time. The cost of attendance is $20 per attendee, though this fee is waived for those who hold season passes with us. If you're unsure if you have a season pass or not, please contact Brian Betteridge ([email protected]).
Soles4Souls’ Shoe Collection Hill Top is collecting new and gently used shoes. Donated shoes will be repurposed and distributed through Soles4Souls’, a micro-enterprise program that creates jobs in Haiti, Honduras and other developing nations. The program helps individuals start small businesses.
Jared M. is supporting his brother with this service project. The collection bin is in the hallway next to the mansion lobby. Thanks in advance for your help!
