Cross Country-pick up at 4:45 pm

Morning Music
This morning’s music comes to us from Alan Anufrik with Cher singing “Believe”. “Believe” was the first song to ever use Auto-Tune. Her producers didn’t like it when her voice sounded like she had a robotic voice. They also tried to keep Auto-Tune a secret until it became an industrial thing.

Hill Top Spirit Day
Next Friday, November 20th, we are inviting everyone to participate in a Hill Top Spirit Day. Wear your Hill Top gear or Blue and White to show your school spirit!

Spirit Wear Store Re-opens
The Hill Top Prep Spirit Wear Shop was such a success that we have decided to leave the store open through December 5th. If you haven’t yet picked something out to show your Hill Top Spirit, make sure you do before the store closes. Orders placed by December 5th are guaranteed to arrive in time for the winter holidays. Hill Top Spirit Wear makes a great gift for that special someone (or yourself). Parents are encouraged to select “in store pickup” to save some money on delivery charges. We’ll pick items up at the store and have them here at Hill Top for you.

Spirit of the Hawk
This Cross Country student has literally and figuratively been leading the team with consistent effort, positive attitude and commitment towards his own personal improvement as an athlete. He displays all the qualities that we want to see from a team member. We are happy to see him evolve as a runner and as a leader. Ms. Suplick and Ms. Kroberger are SO proud of Will Mihal and would like to present him with a Spirit of the Hawk for LEADERSHIP!

World Kindness Day
Today is World Kindness Day. In observance of this, the 5th, 6th, and 7th, grade Information skills classes have created posters encouraging kindness. They are posted all around campus.

BROvember
Hey Bro, Today, Brovember 13th is World Kindness Day! Sometimes guys think being kind isn't cool or manly...so wrong. Just yesterday someone in my math class offered to help a kid who was struggling to get the work done. Later, in the same class, another kid offered to give up his mentor period to help that same kid. Turned out, the kid didn't even need help, but when a bunch of kids are offering to help a guy out without a reward, I guess being kind isn't so girly. You know, with this Covid stuff, I hear that happiness is the new rich, inner peace is the new success, health is the new wealth, and kindness is the new cool. A giant pack of toilet paper is still awesome though! Be kind, Bros because we all know how it feels when people aren't kind. Have a great weekend and get ready for the Bro-B-Q next week!

Winter Athletic Registration
The winter sports season begins on December 7th! Registration information for Basketball, Winter Fitness Club, and the Thorncroft Equestrian Program was emailed home. Students interested in participating in one or more of these offerings should return their registration forms by next Wednesday, November 18th. Please contact Mr. Van Dyke with any question at [email protected].

Post-Secondary Corner
This is a reminder that this coming Saturday is the Student Council Smash Bros Tournament. The tournament runs from 5-7.30. The cost to attend is $5, which includes pizza and snacks. If you've got a Switch, bring it. If you don't, we'll provide one for you. If you haven't already filled out the questionnaire from Student Council, please do so as soon as possible so that we can put together the brackets.

Dorm News
The dorm boys had a change of plans due to the inclement weather yesterday. They visited the Franklin Institute and had a great time! Among their favorite activities was testing each other with a lie detector machine! Turns out they are telling the truth most of the time!
