good morning Hilltop mr. Van Dyke here with your community meeting announcements for Wednesday April 29th We Begin this week with a spirit of the hawk challenge update the challenge continues and we've received some fantastic examples from students or stuffing to show their courage perseverance leadership and service if you haven't sent me a picture of how you stepped up to make life a little easier or better for someone else it's never too late if you're looking for some inspiration take a look at some of the ways our students have been showing Spirit of the hawk okay next up a programming note for parents we are hosting three meeting of app for parents to discuss some strategies you can use to manage during these different and difficult times first meeting managing the stress of the college process ask me anything with Mrs Gillespie will take place tomorrow Thursday April 30th at 2 noon via Google Hangouts mrs. Gillespie will answer any and all questions related to this topic a flyer for the event with attached to an email that you should have received but if you didn't you can reach out to mrs. Gillespie directly parents interested are encouraged to attend okay up next we have some special student news to share with everyone Jared audition for the golden key music festival again this year on March 1st and on found out that he had earned a spot in the silver recital which would take place at Carnegie Hall in May unfortunately the recital is canceled like everything else and they were not able to reschedule it so he was just a boy what about that but he was thrilled to have earned the honor for second year in a row and the third time in five years so to celebrate the achievements here's an excerpt from his performance alright this announcement is for anyone looking for a way to help out on May 5th Hilltop will participate in giving Tuesday now a global emergency response to the end just need caused by covid-19 in the areas of Health Human Services and education will focus on generosity citizen engagement and support for organizations around the world who have transformed to continue to serve their communities the best way they know how we hope you will support Hilltop as we work to make a difference in spite of these great challenges you can help by donating or by just sharing our message on social media isn't hilltops website or Facebook page for more information okay it's birthday time only one birthday to announce this week and it belongs to Maddie happy birthday Maddie she celebrates officially on May 2nd pictures of May 2nd we are now just three days away not only for Maddie's birthday but from the thrill off the hill weekend and it looks like we're going to have perfect weather both Saturday and Sunday to get outside and walk or run 3 miles to get us pumped up a little bit for thrill I thought I'd take it back a few years to remind everyone would a thrill on the hill looks like so we are a little disappointed not to be able to have the thrill on the hill this weekend but we are encouraging everyone to get out there and participate in the throw also he'll either on Saturday or Sunday can the weather looks perfect for walking and running so asking that anyone that is able to get out there take a picture send it then we'll put them together for next week's community meeting speaking of community meeting we have a drawing to do for those who had sent me a picture of them out there walking or running so without further ado this week's winner of a gift card is Norman Jimmy I'll be in contact with you soon find out what kind of gift card do you like congratulations all right folks that about does it for this week so until next week be well take care of yourselves and take care of each other
