Today Hill Top Prep bid farewell to its 45th graduating class with its traditional graduation speeches made by each of the 11 members of the Class of 2019. Each touched on their own personal growth experience and expressed immeasurable gratitude to the parents, teachers and friends who supported them along the way. While each has traveled a a rocky road, they are all well-prepared for the challenges ahead and excited to meet them head on. Mackena Luberda summed it up by sharing Business Executive and Life Coach Art Williams' quote, “I'm not telling you it's going to be easy - I'm telling you it's going to be worth it.”
Headmaster Tom Needham led the festivities welcoming trustees, alumni, parents, faculty and staff, all of whom share in the accomplishments of this class. Keynote speaker and Board President Sissy Wickes emphasized the importance of self-advocacy for Hill Top graduates as they enter the world. She cites, “There is no about us without us.” By discovering and strengthening their own agency, our children and our students will promote and establish opportunity and inclusion for individuals with neurodiverse learning differences.
