Water Bottle Announcement
As you know, Hill Top’s 8th grade students are participating in the UNLESS Project through the Philadelphia Zoo to raise awareness about endangered species and help protect the environment. We are encouraging students to help us reduce waste on campus by using a reusable water bottle. The 8th grade will be selling reusable water bottles with an original logo in the weeks ahead. Your purchase will help support efforts to save the endangered Golden Lion Tamarin. Stay tuned for details!
On a related note, starting today, Hill Top's lunch program will no longer include disposable plastic water bottles. Students should plan to bring a reusable bottle from home. Please contact Mr. Van Dyke with any questions.

Middle School Student Council Promoting Amazon Smile
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on Amazon Smile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate half of a percent of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.
The MSSC is supporting a sign-up campaign for students, faculty, family and friends to go to Smile.Amazon.com and designate Hill Top as your non-profit charity. It is important to type Hill Top Preparatory NOT Hill Top Prep; otherwise, our school does not appear in the search.
As of October of this year, Hill Top has received $186.00 from the Amazon Foundation, but just imagine how much greater this amount could be if every Hill Top family used Smile.Amazon for their purchases.
It’s free to sign up, fun to shop and free money for Hill Top.

Transportation Reminder
As we are now into the winter months, here are few things to remember regarding transportation and school closings. If you child takes school district transportation, please make sure that you pay attention to your individual school district’s instructions. If your district is delayed, your child’s bus will be delayed, if your district is closed, your child will not have transportation to Hill Top. If Hill Top is open and your district is closed, your child’s absence will not be counted as a day out of school. If Hill Top closes due to the weather, you will receive an automated phone call letting you know the status of the day. In addition, you will see the information on our school’s website, and all of the major TV stations will have our school name and status on the “crawl” at the bottom of the screen. Our school phone message will have the information as well. Please contact me with any questions at [email protected].
